In conjuction with Daypower Consulting and ReneSola, Solar Technology Australia designed, installed and commissioned an 82.5kW solar PV system on the roof of the newly constructed Westmead Millennnium Institute (WMI) building within the Westmead Hospital complex. Watch the video
The system utilises 330x ReneSola Virtuss II 250W solar modules, 5x SMA STP17000TL inverters and Sunlock mounting structures.
The location of the solar modules on the roof of the 8 storey WMI facility required detailed analysis of the mounting structure to be completed and a specific solution implemented.
The location of the building within the Westmead Hospital complex and the proximity to the Careflight helicopter facility required close cooperation with WMI & Careflight to ensure no disruption to operations during crane lifts for the project.
The system is expected to generate in excess of 100,000kWh per year and reduce CO2 emmissions by approximately 105,000kg each year. Watch the video
STA commissioned today a 15kW solar PV system on the roof of the main grandstand at Pittwater Rugby Park in Warriewood.
The system comprising of 60x Q Cell Q.Pro 250W solar modules and an SMA STP15000TL inverter was installed on the grandstand roof so as to avoid the skylights and provide significant roof access for future roof maintenance activities.
Mounted flush to the Cliplok roof, the system will generate approximately 18,580kWh per year and reduce the annual CO2 emmissions of the Rugby Park by 19,500kg.
Solar Technology Australia completed the installation & commissioning of an additional 17.5kW capacity to the existing 79.5kW system installed by STA in April 2013 bringing the total capacity of the system to 97kW.
The17.5kW expansion incorporated 70x Trina 250W “Honey” solar modules and an SMA STP17000TL inverter.
With the total installed capacity of 97kW, the system is expected to generate over 120,000kWh per year, making a significant contribution to the reducing the CO2 emissions as well as the running costs of the library.
STA installed additional 10kW system to the existing 9.88kW at Pittwater Council’s Boondah Depot to bring the total generation at the facility to 19.88kW.
The additional 10kW system utilises 40x Q Cells Q.Pro G3 250W solar modules and an SMA STP10000TL three phase inverter. Utilising a tilted mounting system, the additional 10kW system will generate 13,800kWh per year.
The 29.3kW system utilises Hanwa Q Cell Q.Peak 255 solar modules and SMA inverters. The system is expected to generate approximately 38,000kWh per year to help offset the energy consumption of the library.
STA finalised the commissioning of a 79.5kW solar PV system at the Narellan Library today. The 79.5kW system incorporates 318 x Trina TSM250 solar modules and 5 x SMA three phase inverters and is mounted flush to the Klip-lok roof of the library. The system is expected to generate approxiamtely 98,400kWh per year and reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 100 tonnes.
